Negotiations is an immersive site-responsive installation that employs everyday materials such as turmeric, cornflour and plastic lace to screen-print directly onto the wall surface. For some, the richly patterned walls and vibrant colour of the installation, evoke an inviting and meditative space. For others, the smell of turmeric can be assaulting and overpowering. For many the artwork does not exist in stasis, but instead shifts between the seductive and the repulsive.
